one day my boss told me to run into twn and get him some food. he said "i'm driving the used Chevy outside and handed me a key. I saw him drive to in in a Trailblazer so I figured he meant that. I hit the lock button on the fob to find it, and instead of the blazer the manual trans 04 Vett beeped. So I took it for a run to McDs. When I got back he told me he handed me the wrong keys. Whoops.

I did it once then left for the weekend. Thankfully know one even noticed. They were for a used Mustang that I had taken for a joyride. I came in on Monday put the key back and know one ever said a word.

When I worked for cadillac, one day after work i went to the levi's outlet to look for a jacket, and when I took my jacket off, the keys to a brand new escalade platinum fell out. Luckily, sales was still open and my stepdad is a salesman there so i was able to just give him the keys without the higher ups finding out.

I learned this summer to never put anything in your pocket that isn't yours - chances are you'll forget it.
I sold Nissan's this summer with the keyless entries. Three times I had to drive to the buyer's house to delver their second key, as it found it's way into my pocket.

This was the first time in 14 months that I accidentally took something home. The only reason I had the key was because I had to turn on the ignition to open the engine bay. Plus, my boss was more than cool with it.

I used to work in an apartment complex replacing windows. A few times I would stop to fill up 20-30 kms from work, and realize I had peoples apartment keys in my pocket. Not really wanting to take 30 minutes to drive back in town, then 30 minutes to drive back to where I was, plus the remaining 30 minutes home, I just prayed there was no emergencies in that apartment that night, and brought them back the next day.

Yep. The R8, Q7 and TT still flip.
